In the US and Canada, Sunday is Mother’s Day. There is still time to find that special gift, stand at Hallmark and search for the perfect card, and decide which of your mother’s favorite restaurants to take her to.
I have to admit that Mother’s Day is one of my favorite celebrations, and not just because I’m a mum. I loved it even when I was a kid. My sister and I would carefully plan for weeks before Mother’s day what we were going to do for our mum. We would pool our allowance which we had been saving and find the perfect gift with our $10.00, plan the day so it would be carefree for her and of course this would all be a surprise. We delighted in it. Looking back on it now as a mother myself, I see her delight was watching the two of us.
So what’s in store for your Mother this Sunday? Think back to when you were a child, you might come up with something truly memorable and I hope some of your childlike delight in wanting to show your Mom how much she means to you comes shining through.
To all you amazing Mothers out there we celebrate your beauty love and commitment.
Happy Mother’s Day!
