Take Time

Today is Presidents Day in the US, and it’s Family Day here in Canada. It is also Kyoto Protocol Day. The protocol became legally binding at midnight on February 16, 2005 and says there should be a 5.2% cut in greenhouse gas emissions from the industrialized world by 2012 and though not a holiday, certainly worth recognition.

I looked to see where else in the world today might be a holiday, and for many countries you have days coming soon so hang in there..and for those of you who live in countries where today is a holiday, what nourishing things are you doing?

We all lead very busy lives. The ability to take a whole day off may seem impossible, impractical, maybe even ridiculous given our deadlines and schedules. So how about half the day or even a couple of hours just for YOU!! Close your eyes and think about that. What comes up for you? Sleep, a walk, reading your favorite book, a massage (that is how I am going to nourish myself). Playing a game with your children, taking a run on the beach with your dog, or taking a long hot bath. You know what it is; the image of it brought a smile to your face or a deep sigh.

Whether it’s today or another day, please make time, just for you. You’re worth every precious minute, and the investment will give you far more back.
